Roccia Perfetto Roccia PL™ is a high viscosity acrylic water based plaster and is similar in nature to Roccia. Roccia PL ™ is typically applied with a trowel. Roccia PL is somewhat similar to Roccia, but amongst several differences, has a soft pearlescent shimmer. Much like Roccia, Roccia PL’s application properties will vary depending on the plaster’s moisture level but to a more significant degree. Roccia PL tends to go on smoother while the plaster contains more moisture. The plaster was strategically formulated for this purpose. Water may be added to the plaster or the plaster may be “spritzed” with a spray bottle while it is on the wall to modify the way the plaster behaves. As the plaster dries, different textures may be achieved by tapping the plaster with the trowel. A recommended procedure with many Perfetto plasters is to apply the plaster, then stipple the plaster with the flat surface of the trowel creating “highs and lows” or “tips” in the plaster . These textures may be further modified by allowing them to dry further and then knocking the texture (highs/lows/tips) down with the edge of the trowel. Once the plaster is fully dry it may be color washed with Perfetto colorants and glaze. Roccia PL™ may also be tinted with Perfetto Plaster Tints. Roccia is excellent to use as a base coat or scratch coat for another Perfetto plaster to be layered on top or around it. Perfetto Rotto™ is a high viscosity acrylic water based “pull off” chipping type plaster. Rotto ™ is typically applied with a trowel. As the plaster starts to dry (10 to 20 minutes of drying), the plaster may be stippled of touched with the flat surface of the trowel and the plaster will adhere to the trowel, creating a chipped plaster/concrete look and feel. As the plaster starts to set up and dry, tapping it with a paper towel and trowel will provide various textures. These textures may be further modified by allowing them to dry and then knocking the texture down with the edge of the trowel. Rotto is also easily scrapped off with a putty knife while it is partially dry creating additional “chipped” plaster appearance. Once the plaster is fully dry (next day recommended) the plaster may be color washed with Perfetto colorants and glaze. Rotto™ may also be tinted with Perfetto Plaster tints.
